As education is a sub-system of society, a school must be regarded as a micro reflection of it, where the needs of people who are not necessarily “successful” must also be addressed. Developmental delays, lack of opportunities and financial constraints should not determine educational access and quality. Integrated education attempts to address this concern in a humanistic and pedagogically sound manner through the development of this school.
|
| |
The school will serve a multiple purpose:
|
| |
1) a model for replication |
| |
2) a placement centre for student teachers and |
| |
3) facilitate integration of children of differing capacities |
| |

| |
3) facilitate students research projects |
| |
4) study relevant educational issues and
| |
5) to collaborate and offer support to other educational organizations
| |
As the Foundation lays considerable stress on Research and Documentation, such a unit would serve to accelerate the integrated education movement and thereby influence education policy
