| The design of this course has been based on addressing the needs of children within the spectrum of their existing diversities. Despite the fact that educators claim to promote a child-centred approach to teaching, the reality is at variance with this philosophy. Schools as well as colleges of teacher education are largely syllabus, success or systems centred and rarely child-centred. In view of this it is necessary to reorganize the way we look at children and teachers. Therefore this course in integrated education has an eclectic design in all aspects and re-examines teacher education with a fresh approach. |
